The Mises Caucus Takeover Explained: Funkhowzer Interview

Funkhowzer

One of this year’s biggest political stories is the shakeup in the Libertarian Party of Colorado.

It happened at the Colorado Libertarian Party’s annual convention, which was held on May 21st to the 23rd.

However, the story started months prior to the convention, when a well-organized group of Libertarian Party Members began planning their takeover.

Frustrated by the lack of bold libertarian messaging, these party members showed up in record numbers at the May convention.

They call themselves the Mises Caucus, and their members have been taking over State Parties across the country.

At Colorado’s convention, the Mises Caucus took all but one leadership seat, securing their control of the board, and the party apparatus.

Colorado’s State Organizer for the Mises Caucus is a man by the name of Funkhowzer.

On June 27th, Funkhowzer spoke with Brandon of Free State Colorado.

In this interview, Funkhowzer explains:

  • What is the Mises Caucus?
  • How did he become involved in the Libertarian Party?
  • Why did the Mises Caucus takeover the Party?
  • What is the Future for the Libertarian Party of Colorado?
  • How can someone get involved in the fight for Liberty?
