Colorado will vote on Proposition 131 this year, possibly dramatically changing how candidates for office are elected.
This proposition is backed by billionaire Kent Thiry, who was responsible for Colorado’s Open Primaries.
This time, his proposition would entirely end partisan primaries and establish ranked choice voting in the general election.
Proposition 131 has two components and it’s a complicated subject.
