Why are your property taxes so high? How much are you paying in Mill Levies?

Mill levies are set by a variety of local governments, who each want a portion of your property tax money.

These local governments range from fire districts, school districts to other special districts.

This is the third in a series of videos exploring Colorado Property Taxes in 2023.

Colorado voters are facing Proposition HH on the November ballot which will eliminate our TABOR refunds for very minor property tax relief.

In this video Natalie Menten explains how mill levies work, how they are set, and how you can lead the effort to lower them in your community.

Lowering your Mill Levy is a better strategy to lower your property taxes than giving up your TABOR refund forever!
