Colorado property owners are in for a shock when they open their bills.
Taxes are increasing anywhere from 25% to 87% across the state!
Unfortunately, voters and their elected representatives at both the state and local level have created this mess.
The State Legislature had the 2023 Session to provide a solution, and then the November Special Session.
And local governments had until nearly the end of 2023 to lower their mill levies.
They all failed to provide meaningful property tax relief.
And now, a Property Tax Committee is holding meetings to find a solution, but they are going in the wrong direction.
But there is hope for taxpayers.
The solution is restoring Taxpayer Bill of Rights protections across Colorado.
And, at least one good bill has been introduced this year to help combat these tax increases.
In this video, Liberty Rockstar Natalie Menten explains what’s been going on with the Property Tax Committee, and explains how lawmakers can easily lower the tax burden on property owners.
