The City of Denver is accused of spending $20 million MORE than reported on their homeless spending!
The City Auditor’s recent report is a scathing indictment of the Mayor’s “All in Mile High” program, which is said to not have been “adequately planned to meet its mission and goals.”
Additionally, the Auditor’s report scrutinizes Denver’s Department of Housing Stability (HOST) for awarding “‘sole source’ contracts that did not require a competitive process” to the Salvation Army and the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless.
This is particularly troubling because at least two former Denver HOST directors went on to collect big paychecks at non-profits that were receive big money from Denver taxpayers.
In this video, Brandon explores the controversy and the recent Auditor’s report.
