Denver businesses are struggling. Homelessness, Crime, a lack of parking, high minimum wages, and increasing regulations are shutting down businesses across the city.
Restaurants are some of the hardest hit. Relying on customers who drive downtown to visit the city, they are feeling the effects of decreased tourism, and the fear that’s keeping people away.
Horrific stabbings, shootings, open drug use and mentally-ill homeless people are a reality for these restaurants and dominate the headlines daily.
It’s so bad that business owners sent a letter to the Denver Mayor exclaiming, “It has gotten worse since you took the position of Mayor, even though you have received $550M towards stewarding it in a different direction.”
In this video, Brandon reviews the Denver Gazette article, talks about the lack of parking and discusses the challenges that Denver faces.
