Rural Colorado is a special place to live.

The open skies, acres of cattle, and miles agriculture provide a desirable location for anyone who wants to escape Denver.

And many of these small rural towns encapsulate traditional American values, such as respect for private property, a belief in the value of hard work, personal responsibility, and the right to keep and bear arms.

Mutual trust and a shared belief in the freedom are why children roam free.

Rural Colorado is an ideal location to raise a family.

That’s why Aron Lam and his wife chose Keenesburg, Colorado to settle down and raise a family.

Located 40 miles northeast of Denver, Keenesburg Colorado is best known for it’s Wild Animal Sanctuary.

Keenesburg, like many of Colorado’s rural communities is facing challenges such as water issues, and big development.

The residents of Keenesburg who want to keep their small town atmosphere, and rural lifestyle aren’t giving up.

Aron, and several town board candidates are running for office this year with the mission to Save Keenesburg.
