Wildlife in Colorado has become a political issue.
Of course, wolves have been the biggest controversy in recent years, but Colorado voters have also seen an attempt to ban mountain lion hunting statewide and a ban on the sale of fur in Denver.
And the controversy is continuing in 2026!
Thankfully we have Savana Kascak, a political journalist for Complete Colorado.
Savana has been covering the latest stories regarding Colorado’s wildlife controversies.
In this video, Savana shares information from her recent articles, highlighting a proposed ban on prairie dog hunting, a citizen-led initiative to enshrine the right to hunt and fish in Colorado, the Federal Government’s request for public comment on the wolf scheme and the recent rejection by the State Senate of the Governor’s nominees for the the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission.
