One week after a landslide re-election victory, Democratic State Senator Chris Hansen is resigning to run an energy organization.
I suspect he was planning on resigning before the election. And yet, he campaigned and asked for the votes of people in his community.
Senator Hansen is now leaving the future of his senatorial seat to a handful of Democratic Party insiders.
