Coloradans: Speak Out at Upcoming SMART Hearings at the Colorado Capitol in January! Use Your Voice!

If you want to help make Colorado a Free State, then there is a great opportunity coming up in January!

Every year, Colorado’s Executive Agencies hold presentations to the Legislature.

These are called SMART Government Act Hearings. SMART stands for State Measurement for Accountable, Responsive, and Transparent.

In these hearings, these agencies present a performance plan and regulatory agenda.

This is a great opportunity for you as a citizen to show up, learn about what’s happening in Colorado’s State Government.

And even more importantly, you can provide public testimony!

This is a great opportunity for you to speak directly to these powerful agencies about the impact they are having in your life.

Are you upset about the plan to ban natural gas? How about the wolf reintroduction? Or the electricity shutdowns? Or maybe the fees and regulations that are strangling small businesses?

Or have you been trying to reach out to one of these agencies and have not received a response?

These are all good reasons to show up at the SMART Hearings.

In this video, Cory Gaines of the Colorado Accountability Project explains how you can participate and how important it is to get involved with our State Government.
