It’s easy to list all the problems in Colorado right now.
Crime, a lack of affordability, a state hostile to businesses and a Governor that has no respect for Rural Colorado.
But it’s a little more difficult to list the solutions to our problems.
It’s one of the big questions of the 2026 election: How do you address the major issues that Colorado is facing?
There is one candidate who has the experience and the know-how to hit the ground running and start addressing Colorado’s problems when she takes office.
Senator Barb Kirkmeyer has been a County Commissioner in Weld County, a business owner, a farmer, and now a State Senator who serves on the Joint Budget Committee (JBC).
The JBC is where the Colorado budget is hammered out and State spending is set for the fiscal year.
In this interview, Senator Kirkmeyer explains why she is running for Governor, how she plans to win, and what’s different from four years ago when Jared Polis sailed to reelection.
Colorado voters have the opportunity in 2026 to fundamentally change the direction of our State, and flipping the Governor’s seat would restore balance and give Colorado a fighting chance.
