Colorado’s Republican Establishment Must Embrace Election Integrity or Face Irrelevancy

GOP-Base

Colorado’s Republican Party is in danger of further alienating their base.

In an attempt to appeal to unaffiliated voters, the Republican Establishment is seemingly at odds with their most passionate members.

If Colorado Republican Leadership wants to win in November, they need to listen to their grassroots base.

Without the support of passionate activists, volunteers and voters, the Colorado GOP has no chance of taking power in Colorado.

And if Establishment Republicans fail to tackle the biggest issue in American politics, they will be cast aside and their descent into irrelevancy will accelerate.

Although there are many issues that voters will base their votes on in November, one major issue strikes at the core of American electoral politics.

Undeniably, the biggest question in Electoral Politics is, “Was the result of the election accurately determined, or did fraud determine the winner?”

Not only does this question matter in terms of the 2020 election, but it matters for all future elections as well.

It it must be mentioned, the legitimacy of the 2020 election has become one of the biggest questions in world politics.

So what do Establishment Colorado Republicans think about the 2020 elections?

The 2020 Election According to Colorado’s Republican Establishment

Former Colorado GOP Chair and current Republican Congressman Ken Buck told voters in December 2020, “I think it’s so important for us to understand that our votes are not being manipulated.”

Former Republican Governor Bill Owens commented in November 2020, “For the good of the country and our democracy, President Trump needs to respect the will of the voters, accede to the wishes of the electorate, and help prepare the way for the 46th President of the United States, Joe Biden.”

Former Colorado GOP Chair and current political consultant Dick Wadhams claims, “Spending any amount of time and energy on 2020 conspiracy theories is playing directly into the Democratic opposition’s hands.

Other than the vocal Republicans listed above, most Colorado Republican Leaders have been silent on the 2020 election.

However, other Republican leaders have become heroes for their election integrity efforts.

In 2021, these Colorado Republican Legislators sponsored legislation in support of Election Integrity efforts:

Senator Paul Lundeen, Representative Andres Pico, Representative Richard Holtorf, Senator Rob Woodward, and Representative Dave Williams.

(Apologies to any other State Legislators who introduced Election Integrity legislation, these are just the bills I’m familiar with)

Elected politicians are supposed to represent the will of the voters, and elected officials would be foolish for neglecting the issues of those who put them in office.

The 2020 Election According to Colorado’s Republican Voters

A March 2022 Rassmussen poll found:

52% of voters say that it is likely that “cheating affected the outcome of the 2020 presidential election. Forty percent (40%) of voters thought that was unlikely.

This national poll means that over half of American voters believe that cheating affected the 2020 election!

To focus on Colorado specifically, a poll conducted in April 2021 showed that:

67% (of registered Republicans believe) the election was stolen from Trump and just 21% saying it wasn’t.

That’s right, 2/3 of Colorado’s registered Republicans believe the 2020 election was stolen!

Establishment Republican Leaders must understand that Colorado’s Republican voters overwhelmingly believe the 2020 election was rigged.

Which leads to the question:

Why is the Establishment Unwilling to Address the Issue of Election Integrity?

In August of last year, Colorado GOP Leadership announced their strategy for winning in 2022 is to appeal to unaffiliated voters.

This is why so many Colorado Republican Leaders are afraid of discussing election fraud: They are afraid of alienating unaffiliated voters.

However, Republican Leaders must understand that Colorado voters are not going to support weak candidates or weak messaging.

And failing to speak out on election integrity is weak.

It is my opinion that voters want strong candidates for office.

Candidates who are not going to back down from a fight.

Voters know what’s at stake in the 2022 elections.

Coloradoans have suffered for the past two years under Democratic Party rule.

Governor Jared Polis’s lockdown tyranny was inexcusable.

Voters know that Colorado Democrats need to face the consequences of their evil actions.

Colorado voters are motivated to expel those who violated their rights.

Colorado Republicans have a once in a decade opportunity this year.

At their State Convention in April, Colorado Republican voters have shown they want strong candidates who are willing to fight.

The State Convention

Even before the State Convention, at the March Republican Caucuses across Colorado, election integrity was a important topic.

Election Integrity Activists showed up in force.

A whole new generation of political activists are joining the fight.

And these activated voters showed up at the April Colorado Republican Party State Convention, Delegates to voice their opinion.

Colorado Republicans delivered a massive win for Tina Peters, the embattled Mesa County Clerk who faces jailtime for her efforts to expose election fraud.

Tina Peters, even with 7 felony charges against her for “alleged election equipment tampering and official misconduct,” still managed to win 60% of the votes of Colorado Republicans attending the State Assembly.

Colorado’s Republican voters supported her efforts to stand up for election integrity, and her willingness to put her own life on the line.

Not only that, but Peters is the unequivocal front-runner in fundraising.

Peters has raised over $150,000 as of May 3rd!

Her primary competitor is Pam Anderson, who raised a paltry $5,665 for her campaign.

Anderson is supported by Colorado Springs Mayor and former Attorney General John Suthers, as well as former US Senator Hank Brown, and former Congressman Scott McInnis.

Tina Peters risked jail to reveal her concerns to the people of Colorado.

That takes courage.

And courage is what Coloradoans are looking for.

Which might be why Ron Hanks also won an overwhelming victory at the State GOP Assembly.

Ron Hanks, who is the only elected politician running for the office won with 39% of the vote.

This quote from Colorado Politics demonstrates Hanks’ convictions:

“As our next senator, I will fight for our conservative values, and I’ll start by targeting our broken election system,” Hanks says in the video, as he pulls the trigger of a rifle aimed at a piece of office equipment labelled “Dominion Voting Machine.”

Hanks was also the bill sponsor last year for legislation to repeal Colorado’s anti-gun magazine ban.

This bravado might be exactly what Colorado is looking for.

I don’t think Colorado’s Republican grassroots are alone in wanting to support a bold candidate who is willing to fight.

And another fighter, Deborah Flora, came in second with 29% of the vote.

Flora has been using her campaign to fight against the disturbing abuses that American school children have endured during the last few years.

Flora is one of the driving forces behind Whose Children Are They?

This documentary is highly recommended for anyone who is troubled by what is happening in the American Government School System.

Clearly, Colorado’s most-active Republicans are looking for bold candidates who are willing to fight.

If Republican Party Leadership wants to mobilize thousands of their members, then they must embrace the issues important to these members.

The 2020 Election According to Three of Colorado’s County Clerks

Although nearly all of Colorado’s County Clerks seem to think the 2020 election was conducted properly, three clerks have voiced their concerns.

Aside from Tina Peters, Elbert County Clerk Dallas Schroeder and Douglas County Clerk Merlin Klotz have doubts as to the accuracy of Colorado’s election software.

Both Schroeder and Klotz have sued Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold for access to election servers.

These County Clerks have put their careers, and in Tina Peter’s case, their lives on the line to stand up for Colorado voters.

And that courage could be contagious.

Colorado’s Republican leaders must stand with these clerks to ensure they can win in the future.

Because if election results are not accurate, then Republicans have no chance of winning.

Are Colorado’s Election Results Accurate?

How can Ken Buck, Dick Wadhams and Bill Owens claim that Colorado’s election results are accurate?

Have they seen the code that Dominion uses to count the votes?

Do they have access to election servers?

Are computer engineers providing them with expertise to confirm their claims?

Has the code used in Colorado’s elections become opensource?

Has anyone in the Colorado Republican Establishment refuted Tina Peters’ testimony that election records were destroyed?

Of course not!

The fact is, the software and hardware used in Colorado’s digital election programs are not open to the public.

The process by which Colorado’s elections are conducted is complicated.

Instead of counting paper ballots that are filled out in person on election day, Colorado’s ballots are sent in the mail (hardly secure) to individuals who may or may not be at the address where the ballot is delivered.

Once the ballots are returned to the county where the voter is registered, the ballots are scanned by computers.

Obviously, this process has places where results could be omitted or altered.

Colorado voters are skeptical of the accuracy of Colorado’s elections for good reason.

The burden is on the Colorado Secretary of State to prove her claim that Colorado’s elections are accurate.

Of course, nearly everything the government says is a lie.

And, if Colorado Democrats could rig the election against Republicans, don’t you think they would?

Colorado’s Republican leadership MUST tackle the question of election accuracy.

Parroting Democratic talking points will not win in November.

Colorado voters need leaders with courage.

If Colorado’s current Republican leadership lacks the courage to challenge Democrats, they will fail, and Democrats will continue their authoritarian agenda.
