FIRED! Colorado State Legislature Controversy: Senior Aide Targeted for Retaliation?!

The Colorado Legislature has experienced a lot of controversy this year!

This year has seen ethics complaints against sitting legislators, controversial legislation, power struggles and now a high-profile firing.

One of the core issues is that Colorado House Republicans are not united.

Republican Leadership is captured by establishment interests, while a small minority of Republicans fight for the people of Colorado.

These conflicting goals have come to head in the last week of this year’s regular Legislative Session.

Schumé Navarro is a well-known figure in Colorado’s conservative circles.

She ran for school board, co-chaired Moms for Liberty in Douglas County, and even served in the Arapahoe County Republican Party.

For the last three years, Schumé has been a Legislative Aide for Rep. Brandi Bradley.

Rep. Bradley has been one of the most outspoken Republicans in the Legislature, and even filed an Ethics Complaint against a fellow Republican for inappropriate behavior.

Now, in the last week of legislative session, Schumé was fired.

In this video, Schumé explains the reality of what’s been happening in the Legislature and discusses her firing.

There are serious problems in the House Republican Caucus and this latest example reveals a deeper problem with leadership that must be addressed.
