There are many controversies in the Colorado Legislature right now, but this is one I hadn’t heard before.
State Representative Jacque Phillips was kicked out of her previous role as a Thornton City Council Member after being accused of not living in the district.
Now, she is representing that same community in the State House.
If the evidence was there to kick her off City Council, should she be serving in the State Legislature for this district? Does she live in the district?
Additionally, Jacque Phillips is also tied into the recent controversy regarding the Opportunity Caucus, with an ethics complaint filed against her.
In this video, Brandon dives into the controversy.
