The Libertarian Party of Colorado has new leadership. ‘
And many of those new board members do not support the idea of working with Republicans to ensure Pro-Liberty Policies are enacted at the State Legislature.
Of course I’m talking about the Liberty Pledge.
The Pledge was created in 2023 to ensure that if a candidate for office committed to Pro-Liberty principles, a Libertarian would not run against them in the election.
Although this pledge was available to members of both the Democratic and Republican Parties, only Republicans ended up signing for the 2024 election.
These candidates won without a Libertarian spoiler, and were able to strip the Democrats of their Supermajority in the State House!
These Republicans also sponsored some of the most Pro-Liberty legislation we saw this year, and helped promote Pro-Liberty philosophy.
The Libertarian Party, for the first time in my opinion, was able to affect State Policy and influence the direction of our government.
So then, why do members of the new Libertarian Party of Colorado board oppose the Pledge?
Well, I think they misunderstand the power that the Pledge gives the Party.
I think they don’t realize how much influence and power this gives Libertarians.
I’m sure some of these board members think the Pledge only helps Republicans, and hurts Libertarians.
I think they don’t know the whole story.
That’s why I made this video: To explain how the Pledge is helping to make Colorado a Free State and will continue to if the new board doesn’t sabotage the progress that’s been made.
