In 2016, Colorado voters approved the legalization of physician assisted suicide.
Sold as a way to help terminal patients end their suffering, Proposition 106 passed with a 64% yes vote, making Colorado the 6th state to enact this type of policy.
But a recent article is raising concerns about the law.
Matt Valliere is the Executive Director of the Patients’ Rights Action Fund and the Institute for Patients’ Rights.
He recently wrote a guest commentary that was featured in the Denver Post about his friend Jane Allen.
Jane was diagnosed with “terminal anorexia,” which led to her being “coerced” into receiving “end-of-life” drugs.
In this video, Matt details the dangers of Colorado’s Medical Aid in Dying Laws and explains why his organization is suing to end legal assisted suicide in Colorado.
