Who are the George Soros Candidates in Colorado?

Soros

Coloradoans are seeing millions of dollars in campaign spending ahead of November’s general election.

Inundated with 30-second television ads, mailers, and internet ads, it is not always easy to understand who is paying big money in support of, or in opposition to, a candidate.

Candidates for public office rely on big money from PACs, IECs, and other organizations to share the burden of paying for electioneering advertisements.

Although there are many “big money” donors to political campaigns, billionaire George Soros continues to capture the interest of politicos across the country.

Open Secrets lists Soros as the 20th biggest donor for the 2020 election cycle, just ahead of Google’s Eric Schmidt.

(Note: Eric Schmidt is a donor to Colorado’s Democratic Party)

Just recently Fox News was accused of cutting off Newt Gingrich after he made mention to George Soros’ funding of District Attorney campaigns across the country.

It is true that George Soros and his family have used their billions to support candidates in Colorado, including several District Attorney races.

Soros Spending in Colorado Elections

According to the Colorado Secretary of State’s TRACER database, here is the Soros family’s recent spending in Colorado:

Politicians who are currently serving in Colorado and supported by the Soros family include Secretary of State Jena Griswold, Rep. Tony Exum, Senator Rachel Zenzinger, Governor Jared Polis, and Rep. Meg Froelich.

In 2016, George Soros spent $1.1 million dollars in support of Jake Lilly for Jefferson County/Gilpin County District Attorney. (Sources: The Federalist, Colorado Politics, The Denver Post, CBS Denver)

Lilly failed to win his race in 2016, and failed again in the 2020 primary.

In 2020, George Soros and his family have so far spent $14,000 to help John Hickenlooper become the next US Senator from Colorado. (Source: The Denver Post)

(Also note that Hickenlooper rubbed shoulders with globalist “kingmakers” at the 2018 Bilderberg conference in Italy)

Although Chickenlooper Hickenlooper may be the highest profile candidate in Colorado this year, the Soros family is continuing to support District Attorney races in Colorado.

2020 Colorado Candidates Funded by Soros Family

Amy Padden, candidate for District Attorney in the 18th Judicial District, is one of Soros’ favored candidates in Colorado.

Padden, who has received contributions from Alexander Soros, Jennifer Soros, and Gregory Soros, is running for a high profile, and open District Attorney position.

This district attorney race has already seen nearly $500,000 in direct campaign spending:

Padden is also supported by Blueflower Action, which has also received at least $10,000 from the Soros family.

Blueflower has so far spent over $26,500 in support of Padden this election cycle. (Source: TRACER)

In addition to the $10,000 from Jennifer Soros, Blueflower is supported by a number of organizations and individuals:

Something to note is that current Soros-backed Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold was helped by Blueflower in her 2016 election to the tune of $200,000.

Aside from Blue Flower Action, Colorado has at least one political organization at least partially funded by the Soros family.

Soros Family Support of Political Organizations Operating in Colorado

Jennifer Soros, just a month ago, donated $100,000 to Planned Parenthood Votes.

Planned Parenthood Votes Colorado, the local affiliate, seems to have only been interested in supporting Matthew Martinez in the House District 62 Democratic Primary.

Apparently, Democrat incumbent Donald Valdez was not acceptable to Planned Parenthood Action (or Colbalt), after he only received an 80% score from the group in 2019.

Not only are Soros-connected groups helping to get Democrats elected, but they are also working primaries to support only certain kinds of Democrats.
